What time is service?
Sunday worship service begins at 9:30 am and lasts around an hour.
Where can I park and how do I get in?
There is plenty of parking and handicap spots available. To enter the building, use either the big double doors at the front of the building (facing the road) or the side door along the sidewalk (facing the parking lot). Elevators to the sanctuary and all levels of our building are available.
Do you have child care?
Yes! We have Sunday School as well as a child care room for children not yet in Sunday School. Children can be dropped to the Care room before service, and kids attending Sunday School will be dismissed from the sanctuary after the children's story part of the regular service. Ask a greeter at the door with any questions.
What should I wear?
We are here to worship and grow together, not to judge outfits. You will see a range of clothing, but in general we keep it casual.
After the service?
Join us for coffee (or tea), snacks and fellowship following service, which lasts as long as you want it to!
Worship or Event cancellation policy
In the event of a severe weather event, please check the cancellation notices on WVIT, NBC 30 Connecticut (channel 4 or 1004 on COX cable systems) for a notice of cancellation or postponement. Any cancellation notice will also be posted on their website https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/
We will also post notices to the Church’s Facebook page and website, and when possible, send out an email to those registered with us, to notify them of the cancellation.
The most important thing to remember is that we want all of our members and friends to be safe and use their best judgement when making a decision to travel, even if our services are not cancelled.
Also remember that our services can be viewed on the Church's YouTube Channel if you can not make it to the service in-person.

Worship Services
Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30am for our weekly service. Check the events page for any upcoming special services.
Communion
We celebrate the sacrament of communion during worship services on the first Sunday of every month. All are welcome to participate.
Confirmation
Confirmation classes begin in the fall for students in grade 9. Confirmands will explore their faith through different lessons, activities and teachings. Contact the Minister for more details.
Weddings
Our sanctuary is picture perfect for your big day! We would love to have you and your family & friends gather here to celebrate your nuptuals.
Funerals
In addition to hosting funerals, Somers Congregational Church offers families a peaceful memorial garden for loved ones.
Baptism
We welcome all families who wish to have their baptism celebrated. This sacred and intimate ceremony is open to anyone who wishes to be baptised before God.
